Throttle Body: Adjustments

Fig. 15 Basic Throttle Adjustment

1.

Loosen throttle stop screw until there is a gap between throttle lever No. 2, Fig. 15,

2.

Slowly tighten screw until lever No. 2 makes contact.

To determine stop point of adjustment screw, proceed as follows:

a. Place a thin piece of cellophane between throttle lever No. 2 and throttle stop screw.
b. Pull up on cellophane while turning in adjustment screw until cellophane begins to bind, then turn screw clockwise an additional 1/2 turn.

Check idle switch, idle speed and CO content and adjust as necessary.
