Fuel Gauge Sender: Service and Repair

Fuel Gauge Sending Unit, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items

3217 collar nut wrench

Observe Fuel system Safety precautions! 

Removing

-

Cut carpet along perforations and remove cover plate

-

Remove harness connector and supply and return lines from fuel gauge sending unit

-

Remove collar nut using 3217 wrench

-

Take out fuel gauge sending unit

Installing

Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure

-

Note installation position
-

mark on sending unit -1- must align with mark on fuel tank -2-

-

Re-attach carpet after installing using glue or velcro
