Speedometer Cable: Service and Repair

Speedometer Drive Cable, Removing From Instrument Cluster

NOTE:  The drive cable is split in the engine compartment and engages the instrument cluster.

Release drive cable plastic coupling on instrument cluster by pressing lugs together, then pull drive cable out of housing.

Unscrew drive cable coupling -1- and pull drive cable with rubber grommet -2- out of the hole in the dash panel which leads to the passenger
compartment.
