• ‒ → Set Flywheel/drive plate to Nº. 1 cylinder TDC.

• ● → Mark on camshaft sprocket must be in alignment with cylinder head cover -arrow-.

Note:

Older vehicles have no marks on the camshaft sprocket. On such vehicles, remove cylinder head cover and turn camshaft until cam pair for Nº. 1 cylinder is pointing uniformly up wards.

• ‒ → Position mounting lug of oil pump shaft in parallel with crankshaft.

• ‒ → Insert distributor such that rotor is facing Nº. 1 cylinder mark on distributor housing.
• ‒ Clean distributor cap before fitting, Check for cracks and sing of tracking, and renew if necessary.
• ‒ Check and adjust dwell angle and ignition timing point =>page 28-23
