Checking and adjusting choke valve gap in Golf Mk1 carb

34 PICT, Keihin carburettor and ignition system
Servicing 34 PICT carburettor
Checking and adjusting choke valve gap
  • ‒ Remove starter cover.
  • ‒ Close choke valve.

  • ‒ → Press pull rod for vacuum diaphragm with screwdriver in direction of arrow as far as stop.
    Measure gap with twist drill in this position.
         (Specifications: carburettor adjustment data =>page 22-12 )
  • ‒ If necessary, adjust choke valve gap by means of adjusting screw -arrow-.
