Adjusting throttle cable - manual gearbox

Note:

The throttle cable is very easily kinked and must therefore be handled very carefully when being installed. One single slight kink can lead to stiffness and to subsequent failure in service. Cables which are kinked must therefore not be installed. When installing ensure that the cable is aligned properly between its brackets and the cable securing locations.

  • ‒ Press throttle cable to full throttle position.
  • ‒ Adjust the cable so that the throttle lever just reaches the full throttle position (max. 1 mm play at throttle valve lever).
