Adjusting throttle cable
 
V20-1096
  • ‒ → Attach throttle cable to bracket -1- and operating lever -2-.

  • ‒ → Attach throttle cable to bracket/carburettor -5-and to throttle valve lever (do not tighten the nuts -7-)
  • ‒ Open throttle .
  • ‒ Fully open choke and close throttle (idle position).

Note:

On vehicles with 1B3 and 2B5 carburettor, position fast idle cam -6- of automatic choke such that adjusting screw does not make contact.

  • ‒ → Press lever on gearbox into no-throttle position -arrow B- and hold.
  • ‒ Adjust throttle cable free of play at bracket/carburettor.
  • ‒ Push sealing sleeve over threaded piece.
  • ‒ Pull ball socket off lever on gearbox.
    The throttle cable is correctly set when the ball socket can be pressed onto the ball pin at lever without pretensioning.
  • ‒ Secure ball socket with clip.
