| With engine running at idling speed and pressure gauge cut-off valve open, turn steering wheel to left and right stop and read pressure from pressure gauge in each end position. |

| Specification: 76 ... 82 bar pressure. |

| Renew steering box completely if left and/or right value is lower than specified → Chapter. |

| If fluid level in reservoir is low, check steering system for leaks. |

| If leakage is visible at steering pinion, first check pipes and pipe connections for leaks. Tighten and wipe dry if necessary. |

| Renew steering gear if leakage is found at steering pinion seal or at steering rack seals in steering gear housing. |
| t
| To check steering rack seal, open hose clamp on bellows and push bellows to side. |
