–  Visual check of wiring

–  Watch display and check connectors of appropriate current circuit for correct engagement and tight fit.
   
–  If the display changes to “correct”, erase fault memory
  Too low
–  Pull detonator connector off airbag unit
   Display changes to “too high”
   
–  Renew airbag unit
   Display remains on “too low”
   
–  Separate connector on coil connector with slip ring
   Display changes to “too high”
   
–  Renew coil connector with slip ring
   Display remains on “too low”
   
–  Renew wiring harness
  Too high
–  Pull detonator connector off airbag unit
   
–  Fit detonator connector onto inert detonator of auxiliary airbag tester -VAS 5056- → Chapter.
   Display changes to “correct”
   
–  Renew airbag unit
   Display remains on “too high”
   
–  Pull off connector between wiring harness and coil connector with slip ring
   
–  Connect auxiliary airbag tester -VAS 5056- to driver circuit wiring harness in place of coil connector with slip ring → Chapter.
   Display changes to “correct”
   
–  Renew coil connector with slip ring
   Display remains on “too high”
   
–  Press button on auxiliary airbag tester -VAS 5056-
   Display remains on “too high”
   
–  Renew wiring harness

–  Renew wiring harness

–  Connect auxiliary airbag tester -VAS 5056- to wiring harness of front passenger circuit → Chapter.
   
–  Press button on auxiliary airbag tester -VAS 5056-
   Display changes to “too low”
   
–  Renew airbag unit
   Display remains on “too high”
   
–  Renew wiring harness
