Retrofitting rear spoiler (Vento)
   
–  Attach an approx. 50 mm wide adhesive tape to the centre of the rear lid.
–  Use roller tape measure to determine the centre line -1- of the rear lid and mark it on the adhesive tape.

–  To the left and right of the centre line -1-, mark dimension lines -2- on the adhesive tape.
-a- = 335 ± 0.5 mm

–  Transfer the dimensions of the securing holes onto the dimension lines -2-.
-b- = 415 ± 0.5 mm
-c- = 371 ± 0.5 mm
–  Carefully mark the centre of the securing holes and drill them with Ø 7.5 mm.
–  Debur the holes.
–  If needed, the holes can be reworked a little with a round file so that the rear spoiler will fit.
  Note
Paint composition is to be restored according to specifications in Workshop Manual “Vehicle Painting” and, if necessary, corrosion protection measures carried out according to “Surface Treatment/Chemical Materials” manual.

–  Once the painting / corrosion protection measures are complete, put the rear spoiler in place with its rubber underlays.

–  Install reinforcements -1- to the left and right (installation position: longer edge towards outside of vehicle), each with two hexagon nuts -2-.
 - Torque setting: hexagon nut -2- = 4 Nm
–  The assembly aid -3- must be removed before the hexagon nuts are tightened.
