Overcoming resistance with excess force limitation
Overcoming resistance with excess force limitation
l  Prerequisites: automatic opening and closing is initialised (programmed)!
l  Ignition switched on.
–  Close door window with window regulator switch (automatic closing).
If the window is impeded because it is sticking or due to some obstacle in the closing process, the window will open again immediately (force limitation intervention).
–  Actuate the window regulator again.
If the window is impeded because it is sticking or due to some obstacle in the closing process, the window will open again (force limitation intervention).
–  Actuate the window regulator a third time.
Now the window closes as far as the obstruction and stops.
–  To close the window, press and hold the respective window regulator switch once more. The window closes past the obstruction without using the excessive force limitation until 1) the button is released or 2) blocking detection (window closed fully) is performed.
This switch operation must take place within five seconds of the window stopping and without interruption from other functions (opening, closing automatically).
l  Ignition switched off.
If the window is impeded because it is sticking or due to some obstacle in the closing process, the window will open again immediately (force limitation intervention).
Operations using the interior window regulator switch are now blocked.
If within one minute after opening the windows the ignition is switched on and then within five seconds the button is pressed (to close window), then the procedure is as from the 2nd closure with ignition on.
