–  Tape down the A pillar and the windscreen glass with fabric-reinforced tape.
–  Remove residual adhesive with a tool (e.g. a firmer chisel).
  Note
Residual adhesive must be removed since an increase in the height of the water deflector strip can lead to wind noise.
–  Damage to paint should be touched up with paint primer D 009 200 02.
–  Clean the water deflector strips with cleaning solution D 009 401 04 and then prime them with paint primer D 009 200 02.
  Note
Allow 10 minutes drying time after both procedures, cleaning and priming.
–  Coat the primed surface with 1K window adhesive DH 009 100 03 (approx. 1-2 mm in diameter).
–  Fit the water deflector strips in place, press them in and secure them with fabric-reinforced tape.
  Note
Wait two hours before removing the tape strips.
