Installing > < Removing and installing front seat

  WARNING
Disconnect battery earth strap before working on electrical system.
–  Pull cover strip -1- to the rear off the inner guide rail.
–  Pull out the wedge -2- on the rear side of the cover cap -3- using flat-nose pliers and take the cover cap out of the outer guide rail.
–  Push the seat forwards, push the securing clip together -4- and pull it out.
–  Slide seat back out of guide rails.

   
  WARNING
Electrostatic discharges may result in unintentional triggering of airbag. Therefore, the mechanic must electrostatically discharge him/herself before disconnecting the igniter and earth wires. This can be done by briefly touching the body or striker plate of the door.
  Note
Fit connector -2- (airbag adapter-VAS 5061-) is not needed.
–  Disconnect igniter and earth wire for side airbag.
–  Fit connector -1- (airbag adapter-VAS 5061-) into connector housing -4-.
–  Fit connector -3- (airbag adapter-VAS 5061-) into connector housing -5-.
–  Separate any electrical connections for seat heating and seat adjustment.
