Interrogating fault memory
Interrogating fault memory
–  Connect fault reader -V.A.G 1551- → Chapter.
–  Start self-diagnosis → Chapter.
–  Switch on printer with Print button (warning lamp in button lights up).
   
Indicated on display:
–  Press keys -0- and -2- (the function“Interrogate fault memory” is entered with 02).

Indicated on display:
–  Confirm entry with the Q key.

02 - Interrogate fault memory
The display shows the number of stored faults or “no fault recognised”.
The stored faults are displayed and printed out one after the other.
–  The faults printed out can be rectified with aid of fault table → Chapter.
If “No fault recognized” is displayed the programme will return to the start position after pressing the → key.

If something else is displayed:  → Fault reader operating instructions

          End output (function 06)  → Chapter.
– 
          Switch off ignition and remove diagnosis connectors.
 
      Note
t 
           If a fault is recognised:
t 
            1. Rectify fault.
t 
            2. Erase fault memory (function 05).
t 
            3. Interrogate fault memory again (function 02).
