With fault reader -V.A.G 1551-
–  Connect fault reader -V.A.G 1551- → Chapter.
–  Start self-diagnosis → Chapter.
   
Indicated on display:
–  Press keys 1 and 0 (10 selects function “Adaption”).

–  Confirm entry with the Q key.

Indicated on display:
The top line displays number of keys to be learnt -1-.
–  Press → key.

–  Press the 0 key four times and then press the 1 key.
–  Confirm entry with the Q key.

–  Within the next 15 seconds, a button must be pressed once for at least one second on the radio wave key to be learnt.
–  Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
–  Perform functional check of the radio wave keys.
  Note
Initialisation is finished when the 15 seconds have been exceeded, no key station is free or the key was successfully adapted.
