Longitudinally, the exhaust system must be aligned so that the dimensions -a--b- and -c- are adhered.
   
1 - From catalytic converter
2 - Double clamp
3 - 40 Nm
4 - Centre and rear silencer
q   Can be renewed individually for repair purposes
q   Removing and installing:
q   Cut through connecting pipe at right angles at separating point → Item using pneumatic sabre saw -V.A.G 1523A-.
q   Connect centre and rear silencers with repair double clamp.
5 - Retaining ring
q   Note version.
6 - Mounting
7 - 25 Nm
8 - Dimension -c- = at least 10 mm
9 - Marking
q   For repair double clamp
q   Three times on circumference
q   Distance double clamp/marking → Item
10 - Separating point
11 - Dimension -b- = approx. 10 mm
q   Pretension retaining rings on centre silencer
12 - Marking
q   Three times on circumference of centre silencer
13 - Dimension -a- = approx. 5 mm
14 - Marking
q   Three times on circumference of catalytic converter pipe
15 - Retainer
16 - Heat shield
17 - 5 Nm
