Note:

The work sequence is dependent upon the programme level of the Digifant control unit. Programme level number , connecting fault reader V.A.G 1551 and selecting engine electronics control unit.

• ● Coolant temperature above 80 °C

• ‒ Connect fault reader V.A.G 1551 and select engine electronics control unit (address word 01); selection is carried out with engine idling.
  => Page 01-3

• ‒ Input 08 for "Read measured value block" function and confirm with Q.

(From programme level number 1390 )

• ‒ Input 02 for display group 02 and confirm with Q.

Note:

If something different is indicated on the display:

=> Fault reader operating instructions

• ‒ Read off displayed figure in display zone 4.
       Specification: 10...30 % when idling
  the figure must increase when revving-up
• ‒ Press ⇒ key.
• ‒ Input 06 for "End output" and confirm with Q.

If the specification is not attained or is exceeded:

• ‒ Check idling speed stabilization => Page 01-13 , Final control diagnosis
• ‒ Check air intake system for leaks
  => Page 24-66 .

If no fault is found:

• ‒ Renew air mass meter => Page 24-8 , item 7 and perform idling check.

• ‒ Input 03 for display group 03 and confirm with Q.

Note:

If something different is indicated on the display:

       Specification: 10...30 % at idle
• ‒ Press ⇒ key.
• ‒ Input 06 for "End output" and confirm with Q.

If the specification is not attained or is exceeded:

• ‒ Check idling speed stabilization => Page 01-13 , Final control diagnosis
• ‒ Check air intake system for leaks
  => Page 24-66 .

If no fault is found:

• ‒ Renew air mass meter => Page 24-8 , item 7 and perform idling check.
