  • ◆ Fault reader V.A.G 1551 or vehicle system tester V.A.G 1552 with cable V.A.G 1551/3

Conditions

  • ● Is a key belonging to the vehicle available which is also stored in the electronic immobilizer control unit as "authorised".

Work sequence

  • ‒ → Open ashtray, remove if necessary and slide cover for diagnostic connections to left -arrow-.
  • ‒ Connect fault reader (or vehicle system tester) with cable V.A.G 1551/3.
  • ‒ Switch on ignition.
  • ‒ Operate fault reader taking into account the information on the display:
  • ‒ Input 1 for "Rapid data transfer".
  • ‒ Input 25 for address word "Immobilizer" and confirm with Q key.
  • ‒ After the immobilizer control unit has registered, press ⇒ key.
 
→ Indicated on display:
Rapid data transfer     HELP
Select function XX
  • ‒ Input 10 for "Adaption" function and confirm with Q key.
 
→ Indicated on display:
Adaption
Feed in channel number XX
  • ‒ Input 00 for channel number 0 and confirm with Q key.
 
→ Indicated on display:
Adaption     Q
Erase learnt values?
  • ‒ Confirm entry by pressing Qkey.
 
→ Indicated on display:
Adaption     ⇒
Learnt values have been erased
  • ‒ Conclude adaption by pressing ⇒ key.
  • ‒ Input 06 for "End output" and confirm with Q key.
  • ‒ Switch off ignition.

Note:

The identity of the engine control unit is read into the immobilizer control unit when next switching the ignition on.
