  Note
t  Welding and straightening work must not be carried out on the axle housing.
t  Always renew self-locking nuts.
t  Always renew corroded nuts and bolts.
1 - Hexagon bolt with washer, M16 x 1.5
q   220 Nm
q   Renew
2 - Support washer
3 - Upper bearing brush (rubber)
4 - Pressure plate
5 - Hexagon nut, 25 Nm
6 - Dished washer
7 - Hexagon nut, 25 Nm
8 - Protective cap
9 - Filler
10 - Mounting for shock absorber in wheel housing
11 - Shock absorber
q   Removing and installing → Chapter and → Chapter
q   Dismantling and assembling → Chapter.
12 - Cap nut in longitudinal member for mounting bracket
q   Reworking cap nut in longitudinal member when thread is damaged → Chapter.
13 - Wheel bolt, 110 Nm
14 - Wheel bearing
q   Repairing vehicles with drum brakes → Chapter.
15 - Self-locking hexagon nut
16 - Brake hose with union nut
17 - Axle beam
q   Stub axle contact surfaces and threaded holes are to be free of paint and dirt.
18 - Bonded rubber bush
q   Note correct installation position → Anchor
q   Removing → Chapter
q   Installing → Chapter
q   Renew only as pair.
q   Projecting bonded rubber segment points counter to direction of travel.
19 - Retainer for handbrake cable
20 - Hexagon nut, 80 Nm
q   Use only self-locking nuts with captive washer.
21 - Hexagon bolt, 20 Nm
22 - Spring for brake pressure regulator
23 - Hexagon socket head bolt, 20 Nm
24 - Brake pressure regulator
q   Checking and adjusting → Chapter
25 - Hexagon bolt M12 x 1.5
q   Insert from centre of vehicle
26 - Retaining clip
27 - Bearing bracket with retainer for brake pressure regulator
q   After installation, check total toe setting of rear axle and align if necessary.
q   If possible do not loosen when removing rear axle
28 - Brake hose
29 - Flange bolt, 65 Nm
30 - Bonded rubber bush
q   Note correct installation position → Anchor
q   Removing → Chapter
q   Installing → Chapter
q   Renew only as pair.
q   Projecting bonded rubber segment points in direction of travel.
31 - Nut
