Note
If a vehicle has to be moved after the drive shaft has been removed, first install an outer joint instead of the drive shaft and tighten to 50 Nm because otherwise the wheel bearing will be damaged. |

q | When loosening and tightening, counter hold on guide pin. |

q | Tighten to 90 Nm and turn 45° (1/8 turn) further. |
q | To tighten, we recommend using the angle wrench -V.A.G 1756-. |
q | Remove any paint residue or corrosion on thread of outer joint before fitting nut. |
