Rear axles with 4-hole wheel securing have had the track reduced by 18 mm within the framework of the Golf/Vento model uprating programme. Therefore the track on vehicles with 4-hole and 5-hole wheel securing on the rear axle and with a wheel offset of 38 is the same.

The change-over will be introduced gradually.

Modifying the track effects the wheel clearance in the wheel housing and to rear axle.

All original VW wheels for the Golf/Vento can be installed on vehicles after 08.93.

Wheels from the optional extras programme with other sizes and offset than the standard wheel may have insufficient clearance.

•     B -    1376 mm on rear axles up to 07.93
