Notes:

 
V42-1069
  • ◆ Always renew self-locking nuts/bolts.
  • ◆ Always renew corroded nuts/bolts.

Removing

  • ‒ Pull off handbrake lever trim.
  • ‒ Remove rear ashtray (central console).
  • ‒ → Remove rear central console.
  • ‒ Disconnect handbrake cables from handbrake lever.
 
N42-0027
  • ‒ If vehicle has ABS separate ABS sensor wiring at connector under rear seat, and pass through floor plate.
  • ‒ Remove wheels.
  • ‒ → Remove retaining clips -arrows-.
  • ‒ Unclip brake pipes from axle beam.
  • ‒ Unbolt brake pressure regulator from mounting bracket.
  • ‒ Disconnect brake pipes/brake hoses.
 
N42-0028
  • ‒ → Unbolt brake pressure regulator spring from axle beam.
  • ‒ Disconnect shock absorber from rear axle.
  • ‒ Pull out shock absorber bolt.
  • ‒ Pull handbrake cables out of guide tubes.
  • ‒ Disconnect rear axle from mounting bracket (mounting bracket remains on body).

Installing

Install in reverse order

  • ‒ Bleed brake system.
