| – | Unclip cover -1- and remove hexagon bolt -2- (40 Nm). |
| – | Remove belt relay -5-, spring washer -3- and spacer sleeve -4-. |
| – | Remove speed nuts -6- and -7-. |
| – | Release trim -9- in vicinity of rear lid. |
| – | Position release tool -T10078- between trim -2- and C-pillar -3-. |
| – | Slide release tool -T10078- into clip -1--arrow A- until it engages audibly. |
| – | Pull release tool -T10078- back -arrow B-, when doing this the lower part of steel clip -1- will be removed. |
| – | Unclip trim -2- from C-pillar -3-. |
| – | Release steel clip -1- locking mechanism by pressing together firmly with commercially available pipe wrench -2-. |
| – | Pull steel clip -1- out out of C-pillar. |
Note| Removing steel clip -1- without damaging it is not possible. |
