| Clean and check cylinder head. Cylinder heads in which the valve seats can no longer be reworked, or cylinder heads which have already been machined to the minimum dimension, should not have the valve guides replaced. The minimum dimension must be kept → Fig.. |

| Press out worn valve guides with drift -3121- from the camshaft side (repair version with shoulder - from the combustion chamber side). |

| Press in new guides, moistened with oil, from camshaft side up to shoulder into a cold cylinder head using drift -3121-. |
Note | When the shoulder on guide makes contact, the pressure must not exceed 1.0 t otherwise shoulder may break off. |

| Ream valve guide with 7 mm reamer -3120-. Use plenty of cutting fluid. |
