| Hook accelerator cable into accelerator pedal and quadrant on throttle valve control module. |

| Pull off retaining clip for accelerator cable. |

| Depress accelerator pedal to full throttle position. |
Note Use a second mechanic or depress accelerator pedal using a pedal depressor supported against the steering wheel. |
Vehicles with manual gearbox |

| Adjust accelerator cable by moving the retainer at the support bracket, so that the full throttle position is attained at the throttle valve control module. |
Vehicles with automatic gearbox |

| Adjust accelerator cable by moving the retainer at the support bracket, so that the full throttle position is attained and the kick-down switch clicks audibly. |

| Release accelerator pedal or remove pedal depressor. |
–
| Check idling speed and full throttle stops on throttle valve after adjusting. |
