1 - From double catalytic converter
2 - Stop plate
q   For double clamp
3 - Coach bolt
4 - Double clamp
q   Must be slid onto exhaust pipe up to stop → Item
5 - M8 - 25 Nm, M10 - 40 Nm
q   Renew
6 - Connecting strut
7 - Retaining ring
q   Renew if damaged.
8 - Front silencer
q   During production, front and rear silencers are installed as a single component. In repair cases, the front exhaust pipe and rear silencer are supplied individually with a double clamp for connecting together.
9 - Mounting
q   With support ring.
10 - Rear silencer
q   During production, front and rear silencers are installed as a single component. In repair cases, the front exhaust pipe and rear silencer are supplied individually with a double clamp for connecting together.
11 - Separating point
q   For repair cases.
q   Marked by three indentations around circumference of exhaust pipe
q   Removing and installing:
q   Cut through exhaust at separation point using e.g. pneumatic sabre saw -V.A.G 1523A- perpendicular to pipe.
