Installing
Installing
–  Fit pressure plate.
–  Fit intermediate plate.
   
–  Intermediate plate installation position: raised portion -arrow- points away from pressure plate.
–  Insert new securing bolts.
–  Tighten securing bolts by locking pressure plate with clutch counterhold -VW 558- as for removal. Tightening torque for securing bolts → Rep. Gr.13.

–  Insert release plate -B- and secure to pressure plate with retaining ring -A-. Insert both ends of wire in holes in pressure plate -arrows-.
–  Coat clutch plate splines with a very thin film of grease -G 000 100-. Then slide clutch plate back and forth on gearbox input shaft until hub slides on shaft easily. Remove excessive grease.
–  Fit clutch plate with flywheel to pressure plate.

–  Insert centring disc -T10268- and tighten flywheel bolts alternately and diagonally.
