1 - Warm air collector plate
2 - 10 Nm
3 - Exhaust manifold
4 - Gasket
q   Renew.
5 - Washer
6 - Lock nut, 25 Nm
7 - Flange for exhaust gas recirculation valve -N18-
q   → Item
8 - Marking
q   Three times on circumference
9 - To front silencer
10 - Heat shield
11 - Front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter
q   For repair cases
q   As standard, front exhaust pipe and catalytic converter are installed as a single component. In the event of repair, the front exhaust pipe and catalytic converter are supplied separately with a double clamp to facilitate connection.
12 - Micro catalytic converter
q   Engine code AKQ only
13 - Lambda probe -G39-, 55 Nm
q   Grease only thread with „G5“. „G5“ must not get into the slots on the probe body.
q   Remove and install with Lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-.
14 - 40 Nm
15 - Gasket
q   Renew.
16 - Bracket

Engine codes APE, ATN, AUS, AXP, AZD, BCA, BCB
   
1 - Warm air collector plate
2 - 10 Nm
3 - Exhaust manifold with starter catalytic converter
  Note
In the case of vehicles with air-conditioner, the bracket for ancillaries must be removed before the exhaust manifold can be removed.
q   Removing and installing bracket on vehicles with air conditioner: → Heating, air conditioning; Rep. gr.87
4 - Gasket
q   Renew.
5 - Lock nut, 25 Nm
q   Renew.
6 - Lambda probe -G39-, 50 Nm
q   Grease only the thread with „G5“; „G5“ must not get into slots in probe body.
q   Remove and install with Lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-.
7 - Lambda probe after catalytic converter -G130-, 50 Nm
q   Grease only the thread with „G5“; „G5“ must not get into slots in probe body.
q   Remove and install with Lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-.
8 - To front silencer
9 - Marking
q   Three times on circumference
10 - Catalytic converter
11 - Heat shield
12 - Front exhaust pipe
13 - Separating point
q   For repair cases
q   As standard, front exhaust pipe and catalytic converter are installed as a single component. In the event of repair, the front exhaust pipe and catalytic converter are supplied separately with a double clamp to facilitate connection.
14 - 40 Nm
q   Renew.
15 - Gasket
q   Renew.
16 - 40 Nm
17 - Bracket
18 - Bracket
19 - 25 Nm
q   For repair cases
