Safety precautions
To prevent injuries to persons and/or damage to the injection and ignition system, the following must be observed:
t  Do not touch or pull off ignition wiring when engine is running or turning at starter speed.
t  Switch off ignition before connecting or disconnecting injection and ignition system wiring as well as test instrument cables.
t  If the engine is to be turned at starter speed, without starting, e.g. when checking compressions, pull connector off output stage:

ll - Engine codes AUM, AUQ

–  Pull all 4-pin connectors -2- off ignition coils-1-.

–  Remove fuse 32
  Note
Removing fuse 32 interrupts the voltage supply to the injectors.
Engine code AGN:
  N24-0588
–  Pull 4-pin connector -1- off output stage for ignition coils -2-.
Engine code AGU:
  N28-0136
–  Pull 5-pin connector -1- off output stage for ignition coils -2-.
Continuation for all vehicles
Observe following if test and measuring instruments are required during a road test:
t  Test and measuring instruments must be secured to rear seat and operated by a second person from this location.
If test and measuring instruments are operated from front passenger seat and the vehicle is involved in an accident, it is possible that the person sitting in this seat may receive serious injuries when the airbag is triggered.
