Tightening procedure for poly V-belt pulley securing bolt
Tightening procedure for poly V-belt pulley securing bolt
A new securing bolt is being introduced gradually.
Use old form until new type of bolt has been introduced.
Note different torque settings for bolts.
Introduction of new securing bolt → ETKA (Electronic Parts Catalogue).
  Note
Ensure that contact surfaces of poly V-belt pulley and securing bolt are free of oil and grease.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1601-
t  Counterhold tool -3415-
  W00-0608
t  Pin -3415/1- (not illustrated)
Procedure
Always use a new bolt.
  W00-0387
New bolt can be recognised by drilling in bolt head -arrow-.
Specified torque: 150 Nm + 1/2 turn (180°) further.
Hold poly V-belt pulley with counterhold -3415- and pin -3415/1-.

„Old type“ securing bolt
Specified torque: 90 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) further.
Hold poly V-belt pulley with counterhold -3415- and pin -3415/1-.
