Test prerequisites
  W00-10008
l  The main fuses must be OK.
l  Radiator fan thermal switch -F18- OK
Test procedure
–  Pull 3-pin connector off radiator fan thermal switch -F18-.
  N24-0940
–  Bypass contact -1- and contact -2- of plug connector using test cables from auxiliary measuring set -V.A.G 1594C-. Stage 1 of radiator fan -V7- and radiator fan on right of radiator -V35- must start up.
–  Switch on ignition.
–  Bypass contact -2- and contact -3- of plug connector using test cables from auxiliary measuring set -V.A.G 1594C-. Radiator fan -V7- and radiator fan on right of radiator -V35- must start up.
If fan 1st or 2nd speeds do not run:
–  Locate and eliminate open circuit referring to current flow diagram: → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations.
If no wiring fault is detected:
–  Renew radiator fan -V7- or right radiator fan -V35-.
