Removing and installing crankshaft

Fitting sender wheel to crankshaft → Chapter

Note

t	Before removing crankshaft, ensure that a suitable surface for storing crankshaft is prepared to ensure that sender wheel is not damaged and is not touching any other item.

t	Before installation work is carried out, the engine is to be secured to engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095- or engine and gearbox support -VW 540- with the supplementary kit for engine and gearbox support -VW 540/1 B-.

t	When renewing bearing shells, only use KD bearing shells with yellow markings → ETKA (Electronic parts catalogue).
