Installing > < Removing and installing injection pump

Removing
Removing
–  Slacken toothed belt and remove from the camshaft and injection pump toothed belt sprockets: → Rep. Gr. 15; Removing and installing cylinder head; Removing and installing, tensioning toothed belt
  Note
Vibration damper/belt pulley, centre and lower toothed belt guard and assembly mounting can remain installed.
–  Unscrew all fuel lines from pump.
  Note
t  Use ring spanner -3035- to release injection pipes.
t  Do not alter shape.
–  Cover openings with a clean cloth.
–  Disconnect quantity adjuster connector and unclip connector from retainer.
   
–  Unscrew securing bolts for injection pump sprocket -1-.
  Note
On no account must the nut -2- for the hub be loosened. Otherwise the injection pump basic setting may be altered and this cannot be reset with normal workshop equipment

–  Remove securing bolts from console -1-.
  A23-0042
–  Then remove securing bolt from rear support -arrow-.
–  Take off injection pump.
