Electronic anti-theft system
Electronic anti-theft system
The radio navigation system is equipped with an electronic anti-theft system.
If the electronic anti-theft protection is activated, the light emitting diode located on the top right in the front panel flashes when the radio unit and ignition is switched off.
When the radio navigation system is switched on, the LED goes out and the system is ready for use.
The anti-theft alarm becomes effective and locks the system as soon as:
t  The voltage supply (terminal 30) drops below a predetermined value.
t  The radio part fuse is blown.
t  The battery (terminal 30) is disconnected to perform work on the vehicle.
When the system has been blocked via the electronic anti-theft alarm this is indicated by “SAFE” being displayed in the display when the unit is switched on.
