t  Charge air system must be free of leaks.
t  When making repairs, remove oil from connection and hose ends.
t  All charge air system hose connections are secured by spring-type clips or by push-on connectors. Observe installation instructions → Chapter
t  Checking charge air system for leaks → Chapter.
   
1 - 8 Nm
2 - Bracket
q   Note installation position
3 - Charge air cooler
q   To remove, bring lock carrier into service position → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. Gr.50
4 - Sealing strip
q   Pushed onto top and bottom of charge air cooler
5 - 3 Nm
6 - Charge air pressure sender -G31- with intake air temperature sender -G42-
7 - O-ring
q   Renew if damaged
8 - Bracket
9 - 5 Nm
10 - Connecting hose
11 - Charge air pipe
12 - Connecting hose
q   To intake manifold flap motor -V157-
q   Assembly overview - intake manifold with intake manifold flap motor → Chapter
13 - 8 Nm
14 - Connecting hose
q   To turbocharger.
