1 - Return line
q   Blue or with blue marking.
q   Secure with spring-type clips.
q   Check for secure seating.
q   To fuel delivery unit in fuel tank:
2 - Supply line
q   Secure with spring-type clips.
q   Check for secure seating.
q   From fuel filter.
3 - Clip
4 - Connecting pipe
5 - Fuel pressure sender for low-pressure -G410-, 18 Nm
  Note
From model year 2006 the fuel pressure sender for low-pressure -G410- has been discontinued.
6 - O-ring
q   Renew.
q   From model year 2006 the O-ring has been discontinued.
7 - 10 Nm
8 - Banjo bolt, 18 Nm
9 - Throttle valve module -J338-
q   Clean → Chapter.
q   If renewed, erase learnt values and adapt engine control unit → Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051„Guided functions“.
10 - 10 Nm
11 - Seal
q   Renew.
q   Press in onto stop
12 - Retaining clip
13 - From activated charcoal filter system solenoid valve 1 -N80-
14 - Intake manifold
q   Checking vacuum reservoir in intake manifold → Chapter.
15 - 8 Nm
16 - 5 Nm
17 - Connecting pipe
q   For exhaust gas recirculation system.
18 - Fuel pressure sender -G247-, 20 Nm
19 - High-pressure line
20 - Banjo bolt, 18 Nm
21 - 20 Nm
22 - O-ring
q   Renew (only versions with an O-ring)
23 - Intake manifold lower part
  Caution
When installing lower part of intake manifold, ensure intake manifold flaps are not damaged.
q   Erase learnt values and adapt intake manifold flap potentiometer -G336- to engine control unit → Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051„Guided functions“.
q   Before removing and installing, lock vacuum positioning element using a 2.5 mm drill bit.
q   After installing a new lower part of intake manifold, remove retaining clip for vacuum positioning element.
q   After installing, check function of intake manifold flap using hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213- → Chapter.
24 - Gasket
q   Renew.
q   Note installation position.
25 - 10 Nm
26 - Intake manifold flap potentiometer -G336-
q   If renewed, erase learnt values and adapt engine control unit → Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051„Guided functions“.
27 - 1.5 Nm
28 - Vacuum actuator
q   For intake manifold flap
q   Check → Chapter.
29 - 20 Nm
30 - Intake manifold pressure sender -G71-
31 - 5 Nm
32 - Intake manifold flap air flow control valve -N316-
33 - Vacuum hose
q   To vacuum positioning element
34 - 20 Nm
35 - Vacuum hose
q   From intake manifold
36 - To activated charcoal filter solenoid valve 1 -N80-
37 - Activated charcoal filter solenoid valve 1 -N80-
38 - Return line
q   Blue or with blue marking.
q   Secure with spring-type clips.
q   Check for secure seating.
