Removing and installing crankshaft sealing flange (flywheel end)
Removing and installing crankshaft sealing flange (flywheel end)
Removing sealing flange:
–  Remove flywheel.
–  Remove flywheel.
–  Remove sump → Chapter.
   
–  Unbolt sealing flange -arrows-.
Installing sealing flange:
  Note
Do not additionally oil or grease the oil seal sealing lip.
–  Clean sealing surfaces. They must be free of oil and grease.
–  Remove oil residue from crankshaft journal using clean cloth.
–  Use protective sleeve supplied when installing. Remove protective sleeve first after sealing flange has been slid onto crankshaft journal. The sealing flange locates on dowel pins.
  N13-10128
–  Tighten securing bolts to 15 Nm -arrows-.
–  Install sump → Chapter.
Further assembly is basically the reverse of the dismantling sequence.
