| Removing - GTI, GTD |
Note| The bumper cover of the Golf GTI and GTD have slight optical differences. |
| – | Remove radiator grille → Chapter. |
| – | Unscrew bolts -4-. |
| – | Remove bolts -2- (pointing upwards) on left and right of wheel housing. |
| – | Remove bolts -3- from wheel housing. |
| – | Undo and remove bolts -5- and -6- from underneath. |
| Further dismantling requires the help of a second mechanic. |
| – | Pull front bumper cover -1- out of fasteners of guides on left and right of wing -arrows a-. |
| – | With the aid of a second mechanic, pull off front bumper cover -1- parallel -arrows b- from vehicle. |
| – | Disconnect connectors from all electrical components. |
