Removing
–  Disconnect vehicle battery → Rep. gr.27.
–  Remove left and right footwell trim from centre console (no need to remove other parts of centre console):
t  Basic version → Chapter
t  Highline version → Chapter
   
  Note
For greater clarity, centre console is not shown in figure.
–  Open locking device of connector -1- and separate wiring harness from control unit -2-.
–  Remove the three nuts -3- (9 Nm).
–  Remove control unit from vehicle.
