On some gearboxes, gearbox code is also located on the top of the gearbox near the selector lever cable -arrows-.
The gearbox code also appears on the vehicle data stickers.
If this vehicle data plate is not present, if a different gearbox has been installed or if there is no way to clearly identify the gearbox, the gearbox code can be read directly on the gearbox.
