Removing and installing exhaust gas temperature sender 4 - G648-

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Tool set, 17 mm -T10395-

Removing

–	Disconnect electrical connector -2- for exhaust gas temperature sender 4 -G648- and free electrical line.

Note

Disregard -item 1, 3-.

–	Unscrew exhaust gas temperature sender 4 -G648--item 1- using tool from 17 mm tool set -T10395-.

Note

Disregard -item 2-.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

l	Specified torque → Chapter „Assembly overview - exhaust gas temperature regulation “.

Caution

Loose exhaust gas temperature senders cause malfunctions.

Threads of exhaust gas temperature sender -G495- and -G648- are coated. Do NOT additionally coat with high-temperature paste and always adhere to the prescribed tightening torque.
