Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-
Removing
–  Remove engine cover panel → Chapter.
  W00-0206
–  Detach electrical connector -4- of Lambda probe -G39-.
  A23-10003
–  Unscrew Lambda probe -G39--3- using tool from Lambda probe open ring spanner set -3337-.
Installing
When installing, note the following:

t  New Lambda probes are coated with an assembly paste; the paste must not get into the slots in the Lambda probe.
t  In the case of a used Lambda probe, grease only the thread with high-temperature paste. This paste must not get into the slots on the Lambda probe body. High-temperature paste → Parts catalogue.
t  When installing, the Lambda probe's electrical wiring connection must always be re-attached in the same locations to prevent the Lambda probe cables from coming into contact with the exhaust pipe.
