Removing and installing air filter housing
Removing and installing air filter housing
   
Removing
–  Pull cover off air duct by releasing retaining clips at sides -arrows-.
  A10-10367
–  Unclip lower air duct -2- by releasing retaining clips on left and right -arrow A-.
–  Detach lower air duct at mounting brackets -3-; swing lower air duct backwards slightly for this.
–  Detach air pipe -1- from lower air duct -arrow B-.
–  Disconnect electrical connector -1- at air mass meter -G70- and pull hose -2- off.

–  Remove air hose; loosen hose clip -4- for this.
–  Unscrew bolt -3- and remove air filter housing.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Specified torque → Chapter „Assembly overview - air filter housing“.
  Note
t  Hose unions and air intake pipes/hoses must be free of oil and grease when installing.
t  Use a silicone-free lubricant to install the air hose.
t  Secure hose connections with hose clips corresponding to the series equipment → Electronic parts catalogue.

–  Disconnect water drain hose -arrow- from air filter lower part and clean dirt and leaves from connection and hose.
