Removing and installing front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter Removing:

–  Remove 3 bolts of underbody cover on right -arrows-.

–  Disconnect electrical connector -1- for Lambda probe after catalytic converter -G130-. –  Remove electrical connector from bracket -2- and move Lambda probe wiring clear.

–  Remove cross member for underbody -arrows-.   Note The flexible joint in the front exhaust pipe must not be bent more than 10° - otherwise it can be damaged. –  Disconnect exhaust system at clamping sleeve -1-.

–  Unbolt bracket for exhaust system -arrows-.

–  Remove heat shield for drive shaft on right side -arrows-.

–  Remove support -A-.

–  Unscrew securing nuts -arrows- for front exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold. –  Detach front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter. Installing: Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing, note the following: –  Renew seals, gaskets and self-locking nuts.

–  Install support -A- free of tension. –  Aligning exhaust system free of stress → Chapter. Specified torques:

Bracket for exhaust system to subframe		23
Front tunnel bridge to body		23

1)  Renew self-locking nuts.
