Removing and installing front bass loudspeakers
Removing and installing front bass loudspeakers
  Note
Removal and installation is performed in the same manner on the left and right sides.
Removing:
Before beginning dismantling work, perform the following steps:
–  Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.
Before a loudspeaker can be renewed, the door trim must be removed → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.70 or → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.70.
   
–  Release connector catch on loudspeaker -arrows- and disconnect connector.

–  Drill out rivets -arrows- using suitable drill bit and remove loudspeaker.
  Note
t  It is essential that all swarf be removed from the door because otherwise corrosion damage will occur.
t  If, when drilling out rivets, damage to the paintwork is caused, rectify the damage immediately.
Installing:
–  Insert loudspeaker and secure with four rivets.
  Note
When installing new loudspeaker, secure with special pop rivets (note part number).
–  Reconnect connectors on loudspeaker.
Remainder of installation is carried out in reverse order of removal.
