Removing and installing left footwell lightW9
Removing and installing left footwell light -W9-
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Removal wedge -VAS 3409-
  Note
t  When removing and installing components that are in view (switches, covers, trim and so on), mask off areas in which tools (removal wedge -VAS 3409-, screwdriver) are used to lever out those components using commercially available tape.
t  Removal and installation of both footwell lights is performed in the same way and is described as follows for just one light.
Removing:
–  Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

–  Remove securing bolt -arrow- and, taking connected wiring length into consideration, remove holder -1- from bracket together with footwell light and diagnostic connector.
–  Release and disconnect connector -2- and unclip diagnostic connector -3- from holder.
Installing:
Install in the reverse order of removal. When doing this, note the following:
–  Tighten securing bolt of holder for footwell light and diagnostic connector to 1.5 Nm.
