Removing and installing interior aerial for entry and start authorisation

Removing and installing interior aerial 1 for entry and start authorisationR138
Removing and installing interior aerial 1 for entry and start authorisation -R138-
The interior aerial 1 for entry and start authorisation -R138- is located in front of the gear lever, under the front section of the centre console.
  Note
Further coding, basic setting and adaption are not necessary if the interior aerial 1 for entry and start authorisation -R138- is replaced. Erase entry created in event memory via „Guided fault finding“ with vehicle diagnosis tester.
Removing:
–  Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers.
–  Remove button bar in centre console → Chapter.
   
–  Unclip interior aerial 1 for entry and start authorisation -R138--1- vertically upwards out of fastener, taking connected wiring length into consideration.

–  Release and disconnect connector -arrow- and remove interior aerial 1 for entry and start authorisation -R138--1- from vehicle.
Installing:
Installation is carried out in reverse order of removal.
  Note
The bracket for interior aerial 1 for entry and start authorisation -R138- in the centre console cannot be removed without being damaged. If the aerial bracket has to be removed, install a new bracket to avoid rattling and malfunction of the KESSY.
