Removing and installing onboard supply control unitJ519
Removing and installing onboard supply control unit -J519-
Removing:
–  Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.
–  Remove trim in driver's footwell → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.68.
–  Remove left driver-side footwell light → Chapter.
  Note
The wiring of the left footwell light and of the diagnostic connector can remain connected.
–  Remove driver side footwell vent → Heating, ventilation, air conditioning system; Rep. gr.80.
  WARNING
t  Danger of the triggering of the airbag!
t  Improper action on airbag unit may result in the triggering of the airbag!
t  Observe safety precautions when working on airbag → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.69.
–  Remove knee airbag in driver's footwell → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.69.
   
–  Release both locking lugs -arrow- and pull relay carrier -2- counter to direction of travel, backwards, out of onboard supply control unit -1-.
–  Taking connected wiring length into consideration swing relay carrier downwards and unclip relay.
Installing:
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence.
