Condition

As of 1990 Model Year some vehicles produced in Mexico have a pollen filter installed on the air intake of the ventilation system. The filter, under some
road conditions (e.g. dirt roads etc.) may become clogged and reduce air flow through the ventilation system.

Golf Vehicles produced from:

VIN 1G LM 006 601 to

VIN 1G MM 005 846

have the pollen filter installed.

Jetta vehicles produced from:

VIN 1G LM 008 917 to

VIN 1G LM 031 246

have the pollen filter installed.

Service 

Replace pollen filter if clogged.

Note

If a new filter element is not available, the foliage grill, Part No. 191 819 098 A, is to be installed in place of the filter assembly.
