Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

1. Remove timing belt.
2. Remove crankshaft sprocket retaining bolt, then sprocket. Do not allow crankshaft to turn as piston valve contact will occur.
3. Using a suitable tool, remove oil seal.
4. Lightly lubricate sealing lip and outer edge of new oil seal.
5. Place suitable guide sleeve onto crankshaft, then push oil seal over guide sleeve.
6. Using a suitable tool, press oil seal in until it reaches stop.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten to specifications.
